I collected the wild clay at home into a 5 gallon bucket and was set to head back to the studio. 

A graphic design graduate kindly brought us some wild clay from Mississippi!

Using a small batch of wild clay I collected, I set out to create a high-fire glaze.

With permission from my parents, we picked a spot on the outskirts of our garden for the pit.  As I dug deeper, I noticed a change in the soil—and discovered wild clay!

Leaving the studio and no longer having access to a wheel made me wonder—what can I do with clay at home?
